Biography

H.D. Motyl, Assistant Professor, who is teaching Media Production and Writing. He has produced and written documentaries for The History Channel, National Geographic Channel and A&E, among others. For the home video and educational markets, he has produced such diverse work as the best-selling Image of an Assassination: A New Look at the Zapruder Film, The Journey of Amistad, and the award-winning Show & Tell series of children’s videos. His personal work, including Token of Love and Messages from Jeanne, has been screened in festivals worldwide. His most recent video, Oh Michael/Oh Jesus had its world premiere at the Calgary Fringe Film Festival, at which the lead performance was nominated for a Best Actor award. Professor Moytl is currently producing a feature documentary, High School Rodeo, as well as writing a short narrative, The Secret Ingredients of Pancakes. He holds an MFA from Northwestern University in Film/Video Production.
